# Avoiding repeated copies of the CoC

Hey everyone,

Just noticing that we have copies of the same CoC (or sometimes with slight variations on who violations should be reported to) throughout our repos. We could instead put a definitive version in a `.github` repository and GitHub will pick it up for the links it puts on repos and issues. Repositories that need to have a file included (for packaging or whatever) can have a file that just links to the `.github` version.

Could I have a 👍 or 👎 on this? I can set this up if there is agreement.
