Finding the coordinate where a line and a circle intersects

Hi, I’ve been recently ploting circles and lines on a gmt coast map. The problem is, I need to find the longitude and latitude of the points where circles and lines intersect. Is there a way to do this? My circles and lines are all plotted through gmt plot.

Hi XiaoChenhan!! Welcome to the gmt forum.

Maybe gmt spatial? But hard to help more without a figure, script and a (small) data sample.

Ah, forgot to reply to this one. We can’t do it when using plot symbols (circles for example). But if we have the coordinates of the line and circle then is just a matter of using gmtspatial -Ie

Great, thanks a lot

gmt spatial works, Thanks
