Gmt.history and gmt.commands

Dear

I use the Version 5.4.4 of GMT with Mac OS 10.15.16.
I can find the file of gmt.history in the working directory which indicates several parameters I executed.
In my version of GMT, is the file of gmt.commnads not available any more? Does gmt.history replace the gmt.commnads?
Are the gmt.commnads and gmt.history the same kind of history files?

regards,

takaya

There has never been a gmt.commands file. There has been a gmt.history with common option argument history for decades. There used to be a .gmtdefaults file but it got renamed to gmt.conf many years ago - this holds GMT defaults settings. Those are the only gmt files the users may see.

Thank you very much for yours support. It is very clear to me.
