Gmt4 and gmt6 side by side on centOS

I need to have the option to use both gmt4 and gmt6. Currently I have gmt6 installed via yum. What is the recommended way to install gmt4 and switch between the two? thanks

See the CookBook but, curiosity, what is it that you need to do with GMT4 that you can’t do with 6?

the gmtswitch link you sent begins “after you have finished installing all GMT versions of interest” but my first question is: How do you recommend installing gmt4 alongside 6?

my goal is to validate some old gmt4 scripts with the least possible effort. maybe there is an easier way?

Well, I guess you are building GMT4 yourself so just put it into its own dir tree.
