Issue with rotconverter

Hi,

I’m trying to generate stage poles for the South Atlantic using rotconverter. Below is my code:

gmt rotconverter SAM-AFR -Fs > stage_poles.txt

Then I rotate the isochrons from the South American plate (triangles) and African plate (circles) using the above stage poles. Only the isochrons with total poles meet when rotated back to that chron (left image). All other isochrons between total poles have gaps when rotated back are not closing (right image).

Yes, might need to see data and script commands for this to understand what is going on.
