I have lately started to receive tons of information from every gmt command (please see screenshot as an example); I have not turned “verbose” mode on and have no clue why this is happening. It is probably a trivial issue for you, but I have not been able to find any way to turn this off. Could anyone help please? Thanks in advance and hopefully it is not a replicated question, in case I apologize.
It means you have turned on -V somewhere for more verbosity. If it suddenly happened, check if you hvae a gmt.conf file with
GMT_VERBOSE = information

Thank you, that solved it. I had GMT_VERBOSE set on “compact”, I set it on “quiet” now (I have no clue how this happened though).
