It seems to me that the remote data (@earth_relief) are downloaded each time I run my script. Isn’t the GMT supposed to check ~/.gmt/server/earth/earth_relief/[...] beforehand ?

Yes, I believe we check if you already have the tile or file you ask for before we download anything. As far as I know this works fine for me.

Ok, it seems the conversion from ps to png (or other) is the one being slow.
