My preference would be to :

  • darken a little the gridlines (--MAP_GRID_PEN_PRIMARY=thin,gray,dashed)
  • compress the y-axis so the gridlines would look more squared (-JXsize_x/size_y)
  • increase the size of the dots (-Scsize)
